Today is the Day!

Today is the day I meet my future son-in-law. I am having to wait a little longer than expected.... something to do with the cat not having a ticket. That is a mystery that will be solved later tonight, when Daughter dear, and her sweetheart arrive, with Pixie happy to be back on solid land.

I started the day by making pumpkin pie, my daughter's favourite. I had the crust in the pie plates, and many of the filling ingredients in the blender. Then I discovered that what I thought were cans of pumpkin were really tomatoes! We made a quick decision to go shopping. One can of pumpkin turned into $200 worth of turkey, ham, and chocolate. We should be ready.

Now the pies are cooling, banana bread is baked, the house tidied, and the tree lit. At my house, Christmas starts tonight! Merry Christmas everyone!
